'I first came across the Hoffman when my husband Rupert attended the Process in 2008. He returned so much calmer, I couldn’t believe how much happier he was in his own skin.

I’d been aware of pain from my past that kept surfacing and, having seen the change in my husband, I thought this might be the opportunity I’d been waiting for to deal with it.

I’d never done any form of therapy so I was still unsure about going on a week-long residential course and I remember trying to get my husband to share details of his experience with me, but he explained that to get the full benefit it was best to arrive with an open mind and experience the Process first-hand. Looking back I’m so grateful that I trusted him enough to follow his advice...'

Namaste Cally! Hoffman featured in new podcast
If you're in search of a podcast series to brighten your day, we can thoroughly recommend spending some time with comedian and Hoffman grad Cally Beaton. Namaste Motherf*ckers features some great special guests - Richard Osman, Desiree Burch, Oliver Burkeman - and we particularly loved the Hoffman mentions in Episode 4's interview with fellow grad, broadcaster and author Emily Dean.

Cally did the Process in 2019 and shares; 'My hope as I entered into the Process was to feel lighter, more lovable, less weighed down by the first 50 years of my life. I was surprised to find how much I had been yearning for the quiet and peace in which to feel and express my feelings.

To say the Hoffman was life-changing is quite literally the case. My week at Florence House, hard as I found it at points, has led to a sense of love and resilience I never had before.'

We were delighted to see our colleagues at the Hoffman Institute USA mentioned in the New York Times last month, sharing some Hoffman tools in an article about the benefits of emotion labelling;

'Emotions are brain messengers, and studies show that regularly labeling your emotions and creating a “feeling vocabulary” is good for your health... At the Hoffman Institute Foundation, which offers a weeklong retreat to help people identify negative behavioral patterns, each session starts by asking participants what they are feeling. The Institute has compiled a detailed list of more than 300 feeling words to help people tune into their exact emotional state... It can be a fun exercise to scan the list to find just the right word to describe how you’re feeling. Consider printing the list and putting it on the fridge for the whole family to use..'

Our Tuesday evening Living with the Enneagram webinars are led by Hoffman UK founder Tim Laurence. Each new webinar groups three of the nine Enneagram Types by a common thread - their reactivity, their positivity, or their competence - and explores the impact of their differing points of view and communication styles.

No prior knowledge of the Enneagram is needed to attend these webinars. Whatever your Type, knowing yourself and understanding others will give far clearer communication, as well as an increased intimacy with those closest to you.

Dates:

Times: 7.30pm - 9.00pm (UK time)
Cost: £15 per webinar

If you're interested in signing up to a Hoffman Process later in the year, our friendly enrolment team is available on the phone or via email, and happy to answer any questions you might have.

A one-to-one assessment call gives you time to discuss what happens on the course in detail, and also to decide whether it's right for you. If you do then go on to register, you're already a step ahead! The calls are completely confidential, and you don't need to have registered for a course to book an appointment.

Call us on 01903 88 99 90 or email enrolment@hoffmaninstitute.co.uk and we'll take it from there.
Our first Hoffman Process of 2021 has just taken place at Florence House, and we're delighted to be able to deliver Bob's wonderful work in person again.

We have reduced the number of places on each course to 18 participants, allowing for appropriate social distancing and single accommodation for all attendees. There have been some practical modifications made to the course logistics to ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to; other than that, the Hoffman Process content remains the same. Our courses are filling up fast, so early registration is advised.
