Peace and Presence: with Sarah Powers of the Insight Yoga Institute
|
|
|
Sarah Powers is an internationally renowned yoga trainer, author and founder of the
Insight Yoga Institute
. In this month's Process story, Sarah talks about how her husband's experience of the Process inspired her to do Hoffman and why she now recommends the course to others as a complementary in
tegration with a body-centred practice.
'When I went to the Process, I‘d been through lots of personal therapy and was feeling fairly healthy in my relationship with myself, and those closest to me. But I still noticed a feeling or habitual thought was rooted in my psyche about not feeling entirely OK inside, even when everything was pretty OK on the outside. I had internalised a critical voice that at times left me feeling contemptuous of myself; prone to self-judgement, disappointment and restlessness.'

Simply, Deeply Woman:
New book featuring Hoffman grad Lucy Hall
|
|
|
Female empowerment educator, public speaker and writer Lucy Hall is the voice behind the website
deeplywoman.com.
Lucy has recently contributed to a new book
Simply…Woman: Stories from 30 magnificent women who have risen against the odds.
The book is edited by
Crystal Andrus Morissette
and was launched at an event in Toronto on International Women’s Day last month.
"Before the Process I had such a strong belief that I was a terrible person. This belief stopped me doing so many things because I was scared what people would think and say about me. Doing the Process helped me see that it was just a pattern I had learned from my mum. And I didn't have to let it affect me. Now I feel free to create all the things I could only dream about!
I've become a published author, I lead my own workshops supporting other women to feel empowered and I have just been booked to give my first motivational keynote speech in London!"

Did you leave the Process raring to go, only to lose a little bit of impetus once the day-to-day routine kicked in? Has something challenging come up for you recently and you're not sure which tool to use?
Our
Reconnection Day is a whole day set aside for you to get back in the Hoffman zone and regain the clarity and energy you were feeling when you finished the Process. It's also an opportunity to revisit your Vision and meet other Hoffman graduates.
In May we are holding two Reconnection Days, in London and in Bray, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. We look forward to seeing you at either one or both!

April's Top Tip: Staying on the Right Road
|
|
Do you remember the visualisation in your Process when you reached a fork in the road and looked at the Left Road and then at the Right Road? The Left Road is the path where we stay acting out the same old negative patterns and addictions. The Right Road is the best alternative, allowing you to feel in your whole being what it’s like to make positive, conscious choices and be guided by your spiritual self.
It's always worth reaffirming the choices that you have made. Here's a short tool of awareness.
- Find a pen and piece of paper and draw the Left Road and Right Road.
- On the left hand side, write all the negative words that would keep you down the Left Road.
- On the right hand side, write all the positive words that are there for you down the Right Road.
- Make a commitment to staying on the Right Road and use the Hoffman tools to stay there.
