To the tens of thousands of people who follow him on
Instagram
or subscribe to his
podcasts
with Matt Johnson, speaker and coach Ben Bidwell is better known as
The Naked Professor.
We've been following Ben's journey of self-discovery for a couple of years now - particularly his work around embracing vulnerability.
'In the last few years I’ve been focused on seeing life as an experience to be celebrated, not a problem to be solved. To do that, we need to put ourselves into situations that make us feel uncomfortable so that we can learn and grow from our reactions. Hoffman, I thank you. I thank you for giving me exactly that. In getting out of my comfort zone, I found a way to connect at a deeper level and feel emotions that allowed me to feel truly alive. Life won’t ever be the same again...'

Huge congratulations to double Hoffman graduate Tim Pope on the worldwide theatrical release of his latest film:
The Cure Anniversary 1978-2018 Live In Hyde Park London.
Tim says, ‘The title’s a bit of a mouthful, but, hey, I guess The Cure’s 40-year career is something to be gobby about.'
Tim, who did the Process at Florence House in 2007 and again in 2014, has been a long-term collaborator with The Cure since 1982, responsible for the majority of their iconic videos, including
Lullaby,
The Lovecats
and
Just Like Heaven
, as well as their award-winning 1987 35mm film
In Orange.
Tim says: ‘I attended rehearsals with the band, plonked myself on a chair in the middle of them, and knew as the set list unfolded that the only way to show people the real Cure was to capture not only the grand, epic dimension of their stage show, but also the close, intimate side of this band simply making music together. Despite their sometimes gloomy image, they do laugh more than people might give them credit for! Our finished film puts the audience right into the middle of the music, as if they were all sat on that chair with me.'
The resulting 135-minute, 29-song spectacular, with visuals filmed in 4K by Tim and audio mixed in 5.1 surround sound at Abbey Road by singer Robert Smith, will open in 50 countries on 1,500 screens.

July's top tip: explore your relationship with 'no'
|
|
|
'No' may be only two letters, but it's a powerful statement!
Today, reflect on what this word means to you. How often might you say to yourself 'I'm not someone who does that', 'That's not for me' or 'I can't allow myself to have that'?
Or do you say 'no' to others and push them away with statements like 'I can't accept that', 'I don't need that' or 'Please don't worry about me'?
Make some notes about how you negotiate life with the word 'no' and whether you're being honest with yourself when you say it.
