The strength to survive...
|
| |
|
Aidan Campbell was a successful business consultant with a passion for self development. When he was diagnosed with a brain tumour, he realised that it would take everything he's learned and more to pull himself back from the brink...
After completing the Process, Aidan said; "Hoffman helped me to get grounded, to realise that I am not my patterns, to forgive my parents, live a worthy life and be an asset in all my relationships. It should be on the school curriculum - as essential to living a good life as much as English or Maths.
I came back from the course totally uplifted. I particularly enjoyed strengthening the connection to a more spiritual side of life which, though I didn't know it at the time, was to stand me in such good stead with what lay ahead..."

The pursuit of motherhood
|
| |
|
Jessica Hepburn attended the Hoffman Process after nearly a decade of unsuccessful fertility treatment the thing she hoped for most in the world was a baby.'Not even the best doctors in the world could guarantee me that, and although the Hoffman Process couldn't either, it gave me something else. It gave me back my life. Within days of completing it, I started writing my first book, The Pursuit of Motherhood, which came out two years ago.' This month, Jessica has launched Fertility Fest, the first Arts festival in the UK to focus on IVF, alternative routes to parenthood and involuntary childlessness. The festival launched in Birmingham last week and continues in London in June. It features 30 artists, 20 leading fertility experts and one unique event of performance, discussion, support and solidarity about making babies (and sometimes not being able to make babies) in the modern world. Fertility Fest London takes place on 11 June. Tickets are £35 per day - includes all workshops, talks and a performance of The Quiet House, a new play by Gareth Farr.

Hoffman International conference
|
| |
|
Hoffman International's 25th anniversary was celebrated this month in California. UK and Ireland attendees were Hoffman UK founders Serena Gordon and Tim Laurence, Supervising Teacher Jeremy Kynaston and Hoffman UK General Manager Lynn Crescens-Smith.
Hoffman International was founded in 1991 by Bob Hoffman to manage the affairs of the international network of Hoffman centres, each of which represents the Hoffman Process in its respective country. Every two years, the HII holds an annual conference attended by representatives from each Hoffman centre to ensure that the Process is being delivered consistently around the world and to discuss new ways to carry out Bob's vision of 'spreading peace in the world, one person at a time.'
The next International Conference in 2018 will be held here in the UK. (Yikes!)

Take pleasure in the little things...
Sometimes when big problems are looming over us, everything else seems hidden in their shadow and it's easy for the smaller, positive things that surround us to get lost.
Harness the power of positive thinking today by taking time to appreciate some of the little things you can be grateful for in life. What tiny things are guaranteed to brighten your day? The smell of cut grass, finding a free parking space, a pen that works well, the sound of somebody's laugh...
