Learning to let go

Hoffman graduate
Becca Teers found great success in her professional life, but it seemed far more elusive when it came to personal and family relationships. Despite investing in a variety of therapies and courses, the key to getting her happiness back turned out to be Hoffman:
'I came across the Hoffman Process when I was in my thirties. Career-wise, things were going really well. I enjoyed running a salon and day spa in London which I’d built from scratch to the point where I employed a team of 14 employees – but my personal life was another story...'

Dramatic results: Robert Dawson Scott New play from Hoffman grad
at Edinburgh Fringe
|
After years as an art journalist and theatre critic, Robert Dawson Scott did the Hoffman Process and realised his burning desire was to write something for the stage.
Robert's new play Assessment will premier at this year's Edinburgh Festival.
'I experienced many changes after the Process, all for the better. Some were so marked that even my children noticed. You could say; 'who cares about writing a play?' But a creative breakthrough symbolised what had changed in me. Unlike journalism - and especially criticism - where I reported or commented from the sidelines, I was finally able to commit, to finish something, to offer up something of myself and not be too frightened about what happened to it. As a result, a whole new future has opened up.'
|
|
'Assessment' by Robert Dawson Scott will be performed at the Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh from August 2–28.

Billy Bush comes up Trumps
From media circus to personal peace
|
Putting the past behind him, Billy Bush, US TV and radio host and member of the Bush political dynasty, has spoken publicly about how he faced his demons and worked through a harrowing year. Billy did the Hoffman Process in January in California.
“When you have a big, traumatic event, you go through stages, and it led to acceptance and understanding. And then I found myself in a place of soul searching. And I developed a commitment to become a better, fuller man. The Hoffman Process was the beginning of real enlightenment."

Good mood food & mental health Rachel Kelly creates
happy hormones from nature's larder
|
Hoffman Graduate Rachel Kelly has spent years researching the medicinal effects of food based on scientific studies. Now she's teamed up with nutritionist Alice Mackintosh and released an hour-long video containing nutritional advice and practical tips.
"Eating for happiness is a key tool in my own toolbox to stay calm and well after a long battle with depression. That nutritional seed was planted many years ago when I did my Hoffman Process.
One of my happy memories of Hoffman was the delicious food. At the heart of the Hoffman approach is not just that mind and body are linked: they are indissoluble. Thus the importance of nourishing our bodies as well as our minds." Rachel Kelly.

Saturday 17 June, Battersea Yoga Centre
|
5Rhythms offers the chance to connect to the power of movement using freestyle dance in a guided environment.
There are no set steps to learn, and you won't need a dance partner. Instead, you'll use music as medicine, invoking feelings that are exhilarating, cathartic, illuminating, joyful and fun! You're welcome to come on your own, with a Hoffman buddy, or you can bring a friend (even if they haven't done the Process).

Hoffman Tool for June
A Sanctuary visit
How are your visits to your Sanctuary coming along? When you close your eyes, can you see it straight away? Can you feel the temperature, hear the ambient sounds and experience the comfort of your favourite spot?
Why not attach a swing to your Tree of Life or make a set of mossy stone steps down to the river? The more you visit and create it, the greater a resource it will become. A place you can go to instantly and rest your Body, settle and refresh your Emotional self, inspire your Intellect and be your Spiritual Self.
