It's all about me...
| |
|
Eleanor Moran's career as a TV Producer and author may have been an obvious choice for someone whose early life was full of drama. Rather less obvious was the impact her relationship with her father had on her choice of romantic partners.
In a bid to understand and heal her own story, Eleanor found the voice for her most recent novel, A Daughter's Secret, which dramatically describes the dance of the Daddy's Girl. She also offers tips to anyone living with narcissism or its legacy - because 'when it's all about me, it's never about you...'
'I remember Christmas 1984 for three main things; Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas was Number One, it was the first year my age came in double figures and my father burnt our house to the ground...'
Click to read Eleanor's amazing story and how 'parental narcissism' can affect adult relationships.

Hoffman Graduate and comedian, Russell Kane, stars in a new BBC3 series starting on Sunday May 1st. Described as 'Bear Grylls without the skills', Stupid Man, Smart Phone, sees Russell joined by a different online star each episode. Although they have no survival skills or knowledge of the local language or customs, they'll be dropped somewhere in the world and will need to survive with only their mobile phone for help. From the Arctic Circle to the African desert, Russell and his fellow social media stars will need more than Hoffman's life skills to get through each day...
Russell's adventures start in Morocco where he's joined by social media prankster, Arron Crascall. Find out more on BBC iPlayer here.

When the chips are down...
|
| |
|
Over the past twenty years, we've seen hundreds of Graduates use their Process experience as the springboard to choosing a different path - but Michael Djuric's new venture is definitely a Hoffman first.
When Michael found Hoffman in 2014, he was struggling with the fallout of a relationship break-up that also meant the end of the dog grooming business he'd been running with his partner. Cooking had always been a passion, but not a career, then a flash of inspiration took hold. One professional cookery qualification later, he's a man with a street food plan...
"Suddenly I thought, CHIPS! Why not chips? Everyone loves chips. Simple, tasty, with mouthwatering toppings and flavours... I am on a mission. A mission to change the perceptions of fries!"
"This is such an adventure and at each new stage, I have to stop myself from panicking and thinking "What the hell am I doing?" But one thing is for sure, without my Hoffman experience I would never have had the courage to just go for it. I really have to credit Hoffman for allowing me to unlock my true self and just live life to the full."
Lord of The Fries has really taken off, and Michael can now be found at various food markets in London and the South East. If you want something original at a party, wedding or festival where the only thing Processed is the chef (!), then check out Michaels M'Lord of the Fries Facebook page for contact information.
You can read Michael's tasty story on the Hoffman Process blog, or visit Lord of the Fries introduction page for menus.

Change the colour of your landscape...
There are times in our lives when things might feel a little grey. Or even black and white... If you wanted a colour to paint your life, what colour would you choose?
Decide on a colour and each time you see this colour acknowledge it with positive association. Try bringing that colour to the clothes in your wardrobe, to objects at home, work, in your car, wherever you can... be creative!
You might want to grab some paper, crayons or coloured pens and express how you are feeling in colour.
