Rob Dean
came to Hoffman when he realised that the strategies he was using to cope with life's ups and downs weren't serving him; in fact, they were causing him harm.
'I celebrated in the same way I commiserated. Whether it was to mark a happy occasion, relieve stress, stimulate socialising, anaesthetise pain, counter depression, or alleviate boredom, the approach was the same. I got wasted - and hoped that when I came round my problems would have been erased.
Not only were these methods tried and tested, they were culturally condoned. I certainly wasn’t alone in dealing with my problems this way. In the social circles I moved in, this behaviour wasn’t just acceptable, it was expected. It was all tied up with how I wanted to be perceived; a ‘larger-than-life’ character, with a devil-may-care attitude, wicked sense of humour and roguish demeanour. That was the ‘mask of masculinity’ that I’d been trying to wear convincingly since my teenage years, which by now had extended to a full suit of body armour...'

Launched on international Women's Day 2019,
SheCan365
features a daily interview with an inspirational woman in business, told in exactly 365 words.
We were delighted to see Hoffman grad
Viv Chamberlin-Kidd
being featured recently. In her interview, Viv talks about the impact of doing the Process on her family, and on the launch of her business,
Essentially Shamanic
'My journey to becoming a shamanic practitioner began in earnest when my two children were eight and four. I attended the Hoffman Process – a seven-day intense residential course held on the South Coast – when some things were happening in my personal life that I needed to address in a more open-minded way. Living in Yorkshire, it was really hard to leave my family for a whole week – especially as I was home educating my children, so I’d never left them before – but I did it and the experience was truly life-changing...'

Our two-day workshop in central London encourages you to focus fully and honestly on what you bring to intimate relationships, and on what you expect from those around you. In a confidential and supportive setting, you'll explore new strategies for attracting and sustaining healthy bonds, and be given practical tools to take away.
If you're fed up with feeling 'unlucky in love', like nobody out there 'gets' you, or that you're repeatedly wasting time on the wrong type of partner - this one's for you.
Cost:
£300

Matthew Pruen and Emma Macpherson

November's top tip: get creative!
|
|
|
Remember your Sanctuary? That beautiful, natural setting that you visualised in the Process?
Find a quiet space and take yourself back there, so that you feel your presence there strongly. If it helps, you could listen to some of the visualisations on our website
here.
(You'll need the password:
support
).
Once you have your Sanctuary firmly fixed in your mind, ask yourself if there is anything beautiful that you would like to add to it? Even if you think you have everything, ask the question and be open for surprises.
Then let your creativity take control, and draw, sketch or paint what you have visualised, in as much detail as possible.
