Patterns hunt in packs, so use this tool to gain awareness of how your patterns operate in life situations that may otherwise trip you up.
Begin with a core shame belief, such as “I am unloveable” or “I am not enough”, and also a specific situation where you get triggered, such as a work or social setting.
Map out a cycle of behaviour, and with each step, ask yourself, ‘What do I think next?’, ‘What do I feel next?’ and ‘What do I do next?’. The circle may not close completely – it’s more important to chart the sequence of patterns.
Have a look at the cycle you’ve drawn, and note your warning signals – signs to yourself that you are being dragged into a vicious cycle.
Then ask yourself which exit strategies you could put in place to exit the cycle of behaviour, such as phoning a reliable friend or connecting with your Guide.
