Senior Hoffman facilitator Stella Horgan

Stella Horgan

Stella Horgan is a Senior Hoffman Facilitator and member of the Hoffman Institute UK team.

She lives in rural Limpopo Province, South Africa, where she runs her consultancy and Zingela Ulwazi Trust, a non-profit organisation enabling access to critical information that improves women’s lives, builds resilience and custodianship of nature.

Current programs under her leadership are Permaculture Explorers, a year-long business development and permaculture training program for women way below the international poverty line, and Sekwanele, a partnership with the women of RDP Village providing self defence classes and supporting efforts to change violence against women and children.

Prior to this, Stella put together a network of 130 organisations and ran the Civil Society Support Initiative for the USAID-funded Building Resilience in the Limpopo Basin project. She also launched and ran the Acornhoek Leadership Forum in Mpumalanga, a local initiative and the White Lion Leadership Academy in Timbavati for an international audience.

Stella lived in Australia for 12 years where she trained to be a Hoffman Facilitator and ran a private practice specialising in coaching for Hoffman Process for graduates, counselling and psychotherapy. As well as completing several trainings in trauma therapy, she attained a post graduate diploma in Counselling and Human Services from La Trobe University

Stella also graduated from the School for Social Entrepreneurs (Melbourne), and went on to design a number of enterprise-based interventions for communities.

Stella was trained in Project Management by one of Australia’s top IT professionals, Sonja Bernhardt OAM, and brings this, all of her education and other skillsets to Living Your Process, to help people bring their finest, most creative, most innovative, most brilliant selves to the world, to actualise projects that will positively impact life.

Prior to living in Australia, Stella worked in film and television production with dozens of companies and broadcasters, including Channel 4, the BBC and Discovery, and was fortunate to do this during the transition from apartheid to democracy. She was also at the helm of large events, such as Nelson Mandela’s 80th birthday party at Johannesburg Stadium.

Stella loves the contrasts in her current role of working with global professionals and rural leaders, creative people and women opening to their power and potential. She is fired by transformational work, and delights in assisting individuals and organisations clear whatever might be in the way of purposeful, creative, innovative, inspired action.

Stella has a deep love of nature and lives in the world’s third largest canyon, where she recharges her batteries and has a beloved art-making practice.
