Q: When are the information Zoom sessions? Will they be recorded?
Three Zoom info sessions are scheduled:
- Tuesday 24 September: 7.30-8.30pm (UK)
- Monday 30 September: 7.30-8.30pm (UK)

The sessions are not recorded. We strongly advise that you attend a live session if you have questions, although you are still very welcome to register your interest and apply to the training programme without attending the Q&A sessions.
Q: What is the review process for applications? When will applicants be notified?
- We will be reviewing all applicant submissions after the deadline submission on Friday 25 October.
- If an application is not accepted, we will notify the applicant as soon as possible.
- If an application is selected, the next step is the in-person interactive group interview day in London on Saturday 16 November.
Please note: We will ask those progressing to the interview stages to submit a letter of recommendation from someone who has been a professional supervisor, colleague, or teacher (excluding your Hoffman facilitator). These recommendation letters should be emailed directly to training@hoffmaninstitute.co.uk by the person making the recommendation. They can include the following areas:
- Intellectual abilities and learning capacities,
- Achievements,
- Emotional maturity and willingness to grow,
- Presence in front of a group, and
- Interpersonal and team skills.
Q: How many facilitators is Hoffman UK planning to hire?
Q: Are interns paid during the training programme, or do they have to pay to participate in the training?
There is an initial £900 commitment to attend an Observer Process, which covers your accommodation. Travel costs at all stages of the training are at your own expense.
For training Processes:
- 1-2 : You will pay your travel costs, but your accommodation will be covered by the Hoffman Institute.
- 3-4 : You will pay your travel costs, but your accommodation will be covered by the Hoffman Institute. In addition, the Hoffman Institute will pay you a stipend of £750 per Process
- 4-6: You will pay your travel costs, but your accommodation will be covered by the Hoffman Institute. In addition, the Hoffman Institute will pay you a stipend of £1,000 per Process
Any additional costs arising from attending the Process and training dates are at the intern’s own expense, as is any therapy/supervision, independent further development, additional reading materials etc.
For exceptional candidates, a personalised financing solution can be discussed with the Managing Director and bursaries will be allocated on a case-by-case basis.
All facilitators and interns are required to hold their own Public Liability Insurance and to be able to produce details on request.
Q: What is the work commitment? Can Hoffman facilitators still work at another job full time and teach the Process?
- We will prioritise applications from people who consider being a Hoffman facilitator to be professional work and ideally their core, full-time professional activity
- We are looking for applicants who can commit to 6-8 Processes a year. This requires flexibility of scheduling and travelling, so the possibility of facilitating at the level we are looking for and working full time at another job is unlikely.
- The teaching schedule is constructed annually and published about 3 months before the new year begins. We ask our facilitators to have availability of greater than 70% of calendar weeks. Once the annual schedule is created, facilitators do not need to keep the remaining weeks open.
- When completing the training, you will be assigned to teach on an as-needed basis until the next schedule is completed.
- While facilitators will primarily be working in the UK, there is the possibility of facilitating at other Process sites around the world.
Q: What can I expect to earn as a qualified Hoffman Facilitator?
- Fees vary, dependent upon experience and length of time as a Hoffman Process facilitator. The range is from £3,600 to £5,100 per Process taught.
- Contracts and fees will be agreed at the time of qualification.
- Members of the facilitation team can generate extra income by being involved in Introduction Days, Q2 3-day refreshers, Online workshops, Support Calls, Support Groups and individual coaching. There is also the possibility of working overseas.
- In-house projects are on offer, for example, developing new workshops, research and working with new communities
Q: Do people drop out of the training programme? Why?
Yes, sometimes – either owing to life circumstances that weren’t present at the time they applied, or in some instances because the needed skill level necessary to certify was not demonstrated.
Q: Do I need to undertake any personal work alongside the training programme?
- Personal work is a cornerstone of your Hoffman Process facilitator training and will be emphasised throughout. We strongly recommend you have your own independent therapy/supervision alongside the programme.
- Additionally, you are required to take the Hoffman Process once again towards the end of your training (tuition and lodging are covered by the Institute).
