'Since doing Hoffman, I like myself more. I’m able to be more respectful of others and can contain my frustration and temper better. I still have patterns of being over-enthusiastic and over-committing, but I’m more aware of it and able to find a balance. I think I’m more compassionate and able to see the humanity in others. I’m also more emotionally honest and outspoken in my vulnerability, so for example, I’ll now tell my parents in a neutral way if I’m upset by something they’ve said or done, which I wouldn’t have done before. That enables more honesty and intimacy.
Evidence of how far I’ve come is that I decided to invite my mother to stay with us for the whole of the first pandemic lockdown. Despite challenges in our relationship and finding her behaviour really frustrating at times, I was able to stay fairly calm and allow her to find her place in our family life, since I knew her safety was so important. As a result, she spent three months with us, developing a very sweet relationship with our son. This would never have happened had it not been for Hoffman.'

Our relationship workshops are a collaboration between Hoffman UK and workshop leaders Matthew Pruen and Emma Macpherson. Matthew has built on a decade of working with couples in one-to-one and group settings. He’s also worked as a Hoffman facilitator since 2008. Emma Macpherson is a self-esteem mentor and shamanic practitioner, who did the Hoffman Process in 2001.
Together, they draw on their vast Hoffman experience, as well as a wider range of wisdom traditions, including the teachings of psychotherapist David Richo and Harville Hendrix’s Imago Relationship Therapy.

Resilience is the capacity to stay grounded, centred, and balanced in the face of life’s challenges. It's a muscle we all found ourselves flexing a lot last year. And like building our muscles, through practice, we can also expand our level of tolerance for challenges.
In our first webinar for 2021, we'll explore tools and practices to nurture resilience and support our capacity for a satisfying, joyful life, whether experiencing smooth sailing or rough waters.
Led by: Supervising Hoffman UK facilitator, Eliza Meredith
Time: 7.30-9.00pm
Cost: £15

If you're interested in signing up to a Hoffman Process later in the year, our friendly enrolment team is available on the phone or via email, and happy to answer any questions you might have.
A one-to-one assessment call gives you time to discuss what happens on the course in detail, and also to decide whether it's right for you. If you do then go on to register, you're already a step ahead! The calls are completely confidential, and you don't need to have registered for a course to book an appointment.

We have postponed the Process from 9-15 January in East Sussex, but you can still register for later dates.
We have reduced the number of places on each course to 18 participants, allowing for appropriate social distancing and single accommodation for all attendees. There have been some practical modifications made to the course logistics to ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to; other than that, the Hoffman Process content remains the same. Our courses are filling up fast, so early registration is advised.
