I spent the first 50 years of my life waiting to be found out. It was as if I was constantly trying to ‘catch up’ but was never quite sure what exactly I was trying to catch up with! I’ve always done things at least a decade later than most of my peers, whether that was going to parties or learning to drive. I didn’t go to University until I was 30 – and even then it was on day release, whilst working full time as a mental health nurse. It’s not that I didn’t want to do those things, but more I didn’t think they were for ‘people like me’.
Doing the Process in 2017 with an inspirational group of fellow participants and well-trained, insightful facilitators took away my fears of being vulnerable. I spoke my truth and nobody ran in the opposite direction! ... I realised in the end that the person who put most limits on me was myself. Instead of shamefully hiding it, I am now open about my background and I’ve reclaimed the pride of the people and the places that have contributed to me becoming me. My background has not made me vulnerable – it has made me strong.
Having retrained as a professional coach, I now coach others who feel they haven’t found their place in the world, who feel like an imposter or who think that certain opportunities are not for them. I coach ‘people like me’...

Our Process dates for the rest of the year are filling fast, so in December we'll be making a happy return to Broughton Hall in Yorkshire for an extra Process week, from Saturday 3 until Friday 9.
Historic Broughton Hall has been home to the family of Hoffman Process graduate, Roger Tempest for over 900 years, and offers some extraordinary accommodation options (see our photo gallery here for some examples). You'll eat and sleep in the Grade1-listed Hall, surrounded by stunning countryside and beautiful 17th Century formal gardens. Your Hoffman work will take place in Broughton's award-winning wellbeing centre, Avalon.
Despite its rural location, Broughton is easily accessible from both Manchester and Leeds/Bradford airports, and 3 miles from a train station (Skipton).
Whenever we've previously offered the opportunity to do the Hoffman Process at this incredible venue, spaces have sold out super-quickly - so for more information and to reserve your space, click here.
