'In 2010, I was in a very dark place. I found myself spiralling into a deep hole of depression and anxiety. I remember the moment my husband came back from work and found me crying into the carpet, hoping the floor would just swallow me up. That was when the doctor put me on anti-depressants, and I was offered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I tried both, but neither helped. Then I heard about Hoffman at a lunch with my aunt...

I believe the Process saved my life. It was the best thing I’ve ever done and spent money on. Strong words, but true and certainly from the heart. It was also one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but the most rewarding. I looked deep in the mirror, faced my patterns and got to know myself properly, fully learning to love myself for who I am.

As an actor, it’s easy to forget who you are and be truly yourself. I got a new life and I found ME!

Thank you again to TOMS shoes founder Blake Mycoskie for speaking so eloquently about the Hoffman Process, this time on the Rich Rolls podcast.

'Hoffman is like getting all of the bugs out of your software. It's like this incredible, experiential seven days where you really start to understand why the heck you are what you are. No judgement - good or bad - but knowing why and which of your patterns and which are your ways of being are responses that are automatic and are hardwired into your brain. Knowing which or them are serving you and which of them aren't...
It's just so liberating. You want every human to live with this awareness and the freedom that you get through understanding how you got to where you are.'

Supervising Hoffman facilitators Emma Ferguson and Mairi Russell share have a wealth of experience of working in the fields of addiction and trauma and offer an empowering professional approach that goes to the heart of what our compulsive behaviours are really all about.

In this new, online, one-day workshop, they’ll combine that expertise with the Hoffman tools and set the intention to care, share and tear apart the myths, misconceptions and denial around addictive behaviours. The goal is to help you understand how and why you do what you do. All are welcome, there is no need to have done the Process to register for this workshop.

Our relationship workshops are a collaboration between Hoffman UK and workshop leaders Matthew Pruen and Emma Macpherson. Matthew has built on a decade of working with couples in one-to-one and group settings. He’s also worked as a Hoffman facilitator since 2008. Emma Macpherson is a self-esteem mentor and shamanic practitioner, who did the Hoffman Process in 2001.

Together, they draw on their vast Hoffman experience, as well as a wider range of wisdom traditions, including the teachings of psychotherapist David Richo and Harville Hendrix’s Imago Relationship Therapy.

Home for the holidays? Whether that means staying in your own space or travelling to see family and friends this year, let’s spend some energy precycling what December’s holiday period might involve for you.

Can you predict the patterns you might go into in particular scenarios, or with certain family members – or do they catch you unawares every time? Join us for a deep dive to see where you get hooked, and where those patterns and transferences come sliding in, nudging you into the Vicious Cycles that keep you in a ‘negative home loop.’

Together, we’ll investigate how we can make the holiday season a time of nourishment and self compassion, how we can find peace and reflect on who we’ve become this year, and find some strategies for staying on the Right Road – with or without your family physically present.

Led by: Stella Horgan, Senior Hoffman facilitator
Time: 7.30-9.30pm
Cost: £15

If you're interested in signing up to a Hoffman Process, our friendly enrolment team is available on the phone or via email, and happy to answer any questions you might have.

A one-to-one assessment call gives you time to discuss what happens on the course in detail, and also to decide whether it's right for you at this time. If you do then go on to register, you're already a step ahead! The calls are completely confidential, and you don't need to have registered for a course to book a slot.

Call us on 01903 88 99 90 or email enrolment@hoffmaninstitute.co.uk and we'll take it from there.
We are pleased to be able to resume socially-distanced Hoffman Processes at our venue, Florence House, East Sussex.
We have reduced the number of places on each course to 18 participants, allowing for appropriate social distancing and single accommodation. There have been some slight modifications made to the Process to ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to; other than those, the Hoffman Process content remains the same. Our courses are filling up fast, so early registration is advised.
