Redefining Success: by Entrepreneur and (Unlikely) Climate Activist, Craig Cohon

To read Craig's story in full, click here

The Process triggered seismic, positive shifts in almost every area of my life. It gave me the chance to really reflect on, articulate and communicate my values: and embody them.

I’ve given up partying and drink infrequently. For the first time in my life, I can now hear the sound of silence. I meditate regularly which clears my mind of the worry that had been a constant companion. My creative juices are flowing again, I’ve dusted off my saxophone and embraced far more fun in my life. I’ve realised that each of us define ‘fun’ differently and many of us may need to re-define it as adults rather than accept society’s definition. I’ve always had a questioning nature but the Process has turbo-charged my curiosity.

As I approach my sixtieth birthday, I’ve become increasingly concerned with climate change. I got help calculating my lifetime carbon footprint and decided to take a sabbatical while I get that debt to the Earth off my books.... Starting in January 2023, I’m going to walk 4,000 kilometres from London to Istanbul, stopping in many cities to raise awareness of climate change, with a specific focus on carbon removal, with talks, workshops and meetings with local leaders. I’ve invested substantial money in this project, partnering with a network of powerful organisations and more and more people are joining me...'

We’d like to thank Craig for sharing his Process Story, which you can read in full hereTo follow Craig’s campaign, calculate and reverse your own carbon footprint, sponsor a carbon removal project, or even join him for a few kilometres, click here: https://walkitback.org

The Hoffman Essentials: interview with recent participant Madina Anjum

If you've been considering our two-day introduction to Hoffman, The Hoffman Essentials, but aren't sure quite what to expect, you might like to read our new interview with Madina Anjum Rachid, a participant on one of our recent courses.

'Various things appealed – having specific tools to work with and I admired the people who talked about it on their podcasts. It felt like being part of something quite special. People work with Hoffman because they really want to and they are prepared to do the work on themselves. I thought, ‘when else do you really get time to pause and allow yourself the time and space to dedicate to yourself and your personal development?’

With both of the facilitators, I felt very comfortable talking to them and opening up. They created an atmosphere of calmness and kindness and were also very knowledgeable. Throughout the whole weekend I felt understood, listened to and valued. The overriding feeling was one of being cared for. I did initially worry that cultural differences might get in the way, but this didn’t happen at all and there was a good mix of ages, gender and backgrounds on the course.'

We'd like to thank Medina for taking the time to share her experience with the Hoffman community. You can read the full interview on our website here.
