Understanding through a Dialogue with Parent’s Child

As you experienced on your Essentials weekend, imagine yourself as you were as a six-year-old child, in your Sanctuary, somewhere in a lovely natural place outdoors, sitting against a tree in a clearing. Then imagine whichever parent you want to speak with, walking towards you as a six-year-old and sitting down in front of you.

Look into the eyes of this child, six-year-old to six-year-old, and ask her or him how they learned any particular pattern in their childhood. Write down whatever they say.

Let the answer be as detailed as possible. However, know that the emotional truth is more important than the literal truth.
