Coming Alive, by landscape gardener Dan Walter

'I realised that I’d been wearing different masks throughout my life, dependent on what I thought people expected of me. But for the Hoffman Process week, nobody expected anything – I just had to show up as me. It gave me nothing to hide behind. I saw something in me that I’d never seen before. I embraced new ways of opening up and talking to others at a different level.

It was as if I had taken a backpack heavy with old feelings off my back and now stood three inches taller.

When I got home and sat down to dinner with my family, my 8-year-old son looked at me and said, ‘Daddy, you’re different!’ I gave him a big hug. I realised he saw me as a different person and my wife could see the change in me too. Since then I can see I’m a much more present and supportive father to both my children, and my wife and I are a great team.

Post Process, everything in my life has changed for the better. I’ve gone from having a ‘cup half empty’ to a ‘cup half full’ outlook on life. The vision I had on the Process of how I wanted my life to be was that my family would be central and that I’d extend my work into landscape gardening. I am so grateful for my Process experience.

My advice to anyone considering the Process? Throw caution to the wind and go. It will be unique and life-changing and you won’t regret it.'

Live a juicy life! New book from psychotherapist Andrea Anstiss

To visit Andrea's website, click here

Andrea Anstiss is a transpersonal psychotherapist with more than thirty years of therapeutic and healing expertise. She's also a trained Hoffman Process facilitator who was part of the UK facilitator team from 2007-2013.

Andrea's new book, Juicy Life: 8 Surprising Steps to Awaken Your True Self has recently been released to glowing reviews, and is described as ‘a handbook of how to navigate life’ in its foreword by our very own Tim Laurence.

Tim says; ‘I worked closely with Andrea for a number of years in the Hoffman Institute, so I know at first-hand how deeply she has explored the ways to uproot any family conditioning that might be holding us back.

Starting with that firm foundation, she then goes on to include family constellations and the legacy of further generations back. As if that itself were not enough, she then puts her laser focus on any trauma and shame that could still be slowly releasing their toxins into our lives.

But know that although these are profound and sometimes scary subjects, we are reminded with humour and appreciation that each of us has what Andrea calls a True Self. That is the part that is worth re-discovering, the buried jewel that allows us to live a juicy life.’

Hoffman Introduction Day in London: Sunday 24 March

For more info and to book, click here

Our Introduction Day in March will be led by Supervising Hoffman Facilitator and Managing Director, Serena Gordon. Serena is one of the co-founders of Hoffman UK, with nearly three decades of experience of the tools and techniques – so if you’ve got questions, here’s a great opportunity to ask them in person.

The day takes the format of a one-day hands-on workshop using techniques from the Process itself, so whether you go on to do the full seven-day course or not, you will definitely learn some useful skills and practical tools to help you with your day-to-day life.

If you’re already interested in signing up to a Process date, the day will provide the chance to try a mini-taster before you commit. It can also be an illuminating day for partners/family members of people who have completed the Process, as it gives you an insight into what they have learned.

We understand that attending an in-person event can be daunting, so a Hoffman graduate is welcome to come along with you for free on the day (they’ll just need to email the office to let us know they’re coming). What’s more, if you do go on to do the residential Hoffman Process within 12 months of an Introduction Day, you’ll receive £100 discount on your future Process fee.

Date: Sunday 24 March

Time: Arrive from 9.30am for a 10.00am start. We aim to finish by 5.00pm

Led by: Supervising Hoffman Facilitator and Managing Director, Serena Gordon

Cost: £150 per person

Venue: Violet Hill Studios, 6 Violet Hill, St John’s Wood, London NW8 9EB
